Hi. My name Eva and I will be happy to help you. When die, your spouse will be eligible for survivor benefits, 75% - 100% of your benefits. She will receive her own OR survivor benefits, whichever will be higher.

Any questions? You can collect only one social security benefits at the time. At 70 SSA will automatically pay you the highest benefits you are eligible for. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
