My husband is age 69. He took his benefit at 62 but has kept working, self-employed business owner. In February 2016 he underwent surgery for detached rotator cuff and has not been able to work since (he worked up until the day before surgery). Is he entitled to any disability benefit? It appears he will not be able to return to work and is disolving his business.

Unfortunately disability social security benefits are ONLY allowed for those before the full retirement age - that is for your husband 66.After the person reaching the full retirement age - disability benefits automatically converted to regular social security benefits.There is no disability benefits after the full retirement age...
