I hope you will live longer and enjoy your social security benefits.When eventually you die - your spouse will be entitled for survivors benefits based on your work record.Following publication might be helpfulhttps://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10084.pdf.The SSA makes a one-time payment of $255 when you die if you’ve worked long enough. They can only pay this benefit to your spouse or child if they meet certain requirements. Survivors must apply for this payment within two years of the date of death.In additional - your widow at full retirement age or older, generally gets 100 percent of the worker’s basic benefit amount;Questions?
