I have been collecting my benefits for 2 yrs, can I request a lump sum payment & can you calculate how much? Response 1: No, you cannot receive lump sum payment. Can a person go from Social Security Disability to regular SS? Response 2: Yes. This is done automatically after the person who is on disability benefits reaches full retirement age.
