Social Security Questions? Ask a Social Security Expert
My name is***** and I will be helping you with your question today. This is for informational purposes only and does not establish an attorney client relationship.
Yes, I believe they have to be issued by January 31, so if you have not received it, it could still be in the mail. This is a 1099 and not a W-2 (just for clarity). If you think it has been lost you can request a replacement and get it almost immediately if you have or sign up for a "my social security" account. See link: https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.do
