Thank you for your question. This is entirely plausible, however -- it would be several months before it would come to fruition. First, the bill has to pass and then be signed into law by the president. This could take some time, as you can imagine. It's not on the forefront of everyone's mind -- more people are concerned with broader policies, as unfortunate as it is. Do not expect to get an increase until next January, at the earliest.
