Customer Question

I am turning 65 in February, 2016. I plan on working until at least 67. Do I have to register with Social Security now? Since I plan on staying on the Company provided insurance plan until I retire in do I need to Register with Medicare?

Hi from just answer. I'm PDtax.

You do need to register for medicare at age 65.

Except in your case when you don't need the coverage. You do not need to register and pay for this coverage until you need it.

There is an eight month window you can use to apply for part B once your employer health insurance is not available.
