My ex-husband died and he did not remarry or have children.

Customer Question

my ex-husband died and he did not remarry or have children. I am remarried with no children. Am I eligible for part of his Social Security or Pension?

Hello, In most cases as long as you are remarried and you married before the age of 60 you would not be entitled to your ex-husbands benefit. If you are no longer married or remarried after 60 and were married to your ex-husband for at least 10 years you would be entitled to your benefit or his benefit whichever is greater.
