I was notified that my survivor benefits are going to end

Customer Question

I was notified that my survivor benefits are going to end when my son turns 16 in March. My husband was a high earner, so that will be a $2000 cut meaning we will have to move again etc. my son was hit by a car in 2013, and although he is out of his wheelchair, he requires PT and will require another surgery at least as he almost lost his leg. Does this qualify as disabled since if he was a drug addict or alcoholic it would. I work as a writer, but I didn't work for14 years so I'm behind and would like to get my masters degree. Thanks!
