My husband passed away and my children received benefits.

Customer Question

My husband passed away and my children received benefits. After talking to other widows they have said I should also have received benefits. The children were 8 and 10. Is this something that is owed to me?

1) Were the children living with you at the time they received benefits under his work record?

2) Who applied for them to receive benefits?

3) How many children were there that received benefits?

4) How old are you now and how old were you then?

5) Were you working then, full time?
