Social Security Questions? Ask a Social Security Expert
Hi from just answer. I'm PDtax, and can assist.
The answer is maybe.
Your social security wage history dictates if you get a benefit. Social security uses your highest 35 years wages to calculate your benefit. If your 2014 income is one of your highest 35 years, your benefit will be increased as a result. Those increases are processed in January of the following year.
