Customer Question

While checking my SS history I find that a company I worked for in 1965 is not listed. Upon further investigation I found that the company, Control Data Corporation, is now out of business. How do I rectify this situation?

Do you have a tax return from that year? W-2?

It's too late for the IRS. Same bank?

I do have a Wage and Tax Statement from 1967

I don't know how you happen to have it but that your ace in the hole. All you need to do is visit a local Social Security office and that should resolve the problem

I only have it because my ex husband is a hoarder and never throws anything away. He probably has the tax return too, but can't find it.

Believe it or not that's your golden ticket
