Customer Question

As a OTR truck driver, if I was not able to pass my DOT physical, would I be able to collect a disability and Social Security and if not, which one would be higher?

Welcome to the site. I'mCustomer and will be helping you today.
Failing a DOT physical does not necessarily automatically qualify you for disability. Stories of drivers taking part time or local driving jobs abound. But, let me address what happens if you qualify for disability.
Social security disability benefits are based on your full retirement age social security benefit, which would be higher than an early retirement social security benefit.
