our income except social security all comes from the fact that we live in Australia and pay tax here.
since we live and work in Australia do we have to pay any tax to the IRS other that the tax on social security? if so can we have the tax on our social security withheld at its source? that is each month when it is deposited to qur bank account.?

we are dual citizens,

us( born there) my husband served them in Korea

Australian we have lived here since 1982

my husband is ill he had a stroke 2 months ago and I care for him at home, he is 82 and I am 79

there are tax treaties that help avoid double taxation. as citizens of both places yes two tax returns are required.
