Do you pay taxes on your social security benefits
Already Tried: coworkers of my husband told him they do not pay taxes on their social security, just wanted to see if they are right,
Hello and and thank you for your question. For over 34 years, I have answered questions just like yours. And I look forward to assisting you.The answer depends upon the total income. That is if your only income is from SS, and that total is $25000 or less if single and $34000 or less and married, you do not pay taxes. But if your income, SS and other income exceeds $25000/$34000 you do pay taxes.
