I applied for soc. sec. this years but it was recommended that I wait until Jan to receive the first ck (I will be 66 that year). Do I need to start the application over or is in still in the system? I can't locate the file number.
If there was a file number issued, that you are stiil in the system. So in January, call the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 and they will be able to retrieve your application and resume the application process.
