I have a iphone 5 that is disabled. How can I restore the phone. I know my code.
JA: How old is the phone?
Customer: I believe its 3-4 years old.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I noticed it a day ago. My niece was trying to use my phone. I got on line to itunes and was going to start the process of recovery, but when I read that I would lose all my contacts and text etc. I stopped.
JA: Anything else you want the smartphone expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just that I never backed up my phone.

1) Turn the phone off

2) Launch Itunes on the PC

3)plug the cord into the PC only

4) Press and hold home (circle button) on the Iphone and plug the cable into the iphone while holding home

5) the phone should be in recovery mode and Itunes will ask if you want to restore it. Follow all restore prompts.
