Just to confirm -- The iPhone is asking for a 6 digit code now and you are not sure of that code. Is that right?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
No, I received an iPhone6S a week ago to replace a defective iPhone5 which only required a 4-digit passcode. I never had a 6 digit passcode and my 6S doesn't provide access to my phone without one.
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Josh please provide the solution by text. Thanks
Expert:  Josh replied 7 months ago.

Correct -- So you are stuck at a 6 digit PIN page right?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I can't open my phone or access your responses that you sent to me because I need a 6 digit PIN.

The only way to bypass that screen would be through a factory reset which will wipe the data off the phone. Is there any data on the phone at the moment?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
everything!!!
Expert:  Josh replied 7 months ago.

Is that data backed up via iCloud?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I am stuck at the front screen and I need to use this phone for a phone call. Pretty astounding that it needs afactory reset. As before same scenario: I can't access the next ttwo messages you just sent

Is that data backed up via iCloud?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
it was on icloud when I downloaded it. Does it remain on icloud after downloading?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
i can't open your text messages
Expert:  Josh replied 7 months ago.

If it was backed up via iCloud previously then it is still on the iCloud.

  1. From another device, go to icloud.com/find.
  2. If prompted, sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. Click All Devices at the top of your browser window.
  4. Select the device you want to erase.
  5. Click Erase [device] to erase your device and its passcode.
  6. Now you can restore from a backup on your iPhone.

Please let me know the results
