Customer Question

How do I unlock my Sprint phone so I can use Tmobile sim card? Sprint provided me an unlocked code which seems useless.

My Sprint phone is a Samsung Galaxy S5.

Hello I am Samuel and I can help you. Honestly the unlock code means very little. Technically, it's possible to use a Sprint phone on T-Mobile if your device is LTE-capable or an iPhone. Some handsets sold by Sprint are marked as 'global' phones, meaning they are also have room for a SIM card despite running on Sprint's CDMA network, and have dual CDMA/GSM capability. In order to activate them you take it to a store and get a sim card and service. Most of the time the phone requires a "flash" which removes Sprints programming and replaces it with T-mobiles.

My name is ***** ***** I will be your device repair technician for the day. Your phone can be unlocked as long as you know what provider can change it too. There are programs that you can unlock your phone to a certain carrier as long as it gsm or cdma. I would personally just try to unlock it yourself with the help of online programs which cost no more than $30. let me know if this works.
