My iphone wont send or recieve imessages anymore. I haven

Resolved Question:

My iphone won't send or recieve imessages anymore. I haven't changed the settings, it just stopped about a week ago. Now lots of people think I am very rude for not replying. Have turned the phone on and off, but no change.

When you go to settings - messages, is iMessage turned on. Also, is sent as SMS and receive at, turned on?

Both are turned on, was the first thing I checked

Press and hold the power button and the home button together until you see an apple logo

Have done that twice, still not sending iMessages to known iPhone/iMessage users. Obviously it is almost impossible to know if I can receive iMessages.

Let's reset all settings on the iphone.

Go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

Now go to settings > messages and make sure imessage is on.

Once done, check whether the issue is resolved.

Did all that. Tried to send an iMessage to a friend that previously received them. It would not deliver (I am connected to Wifi). His phone now only sends me SMS
