I have a blackberry curve set up to receive my email from a sky account and it has frozen and cannot be accessed or deleted or anything. Apparently there was a problem with the server when downloading an email early this am after the phone switched itself on. Got any ideas? Jeanne
Already Tried: Deleting the whole set up account
Hi Jeanne,Are you able to get to the internet on the browser of the BB?Are you able to log on to the Sky account on the computer and see emails?
Sorry Simon, but I really dont want to sign up monthly. I just want one answer to one question, so sorry to waste any time. I'll live with the frozen blackberry email. I have managed to set it up again, like another email address, so can get emails (just cant get rid of frozen one!!)
Jeanne,Try to these steps From the Home screen click the Setup iconSelect Email AccountsSelect Internet Mail Account, highlight the frozen account and hit the Del key and let me know what happens.
Experience: Android Root, Custom ROM applications, Blackberry platform, iPhone, tablets, PDA
It deleted the second account I set up - the one that worked, but not the frozen one
We can use the universal search on the BB to search and delete the service books on the BB then do a battery pull and after it comes back online you will see the arrows flash up and down and some icons may come and go but once its done you should be able to go back to Setup>>advanced options>>Resend servicebook.this will remove the email address that is stuck
