I have a HTC Evo 4G and I am locked out. I don't know the primary or secondary gmails or the pass word. I had this done when I first bought the phone. I can reboot the phone but I want to know. How can I reboot the phone with out losing my contacts??
Welcome to JustAnswer.com My name is XXXXXX XXX I am here to help! My apologies for the delay in getting to your question.. Most likely, this is because no one wanted to tell you that you most likely, are out of luck. You may not absolutely be out of luck though.. First t hings first. Who is your phone service with on your Evo 4g ?
sprint
Thanks. At any point, did you turn on sprint mobile sync for that phone? ( the service that backs up all your contacts to sprint.com )
No, I don't think that I did. Else I would of taken out the chip on the back of the phone and rebooted it then. What else you got??
Also, so that you know. I use the phone very little for it is my back up phone. I have not done anything with its programs other to just text, view emails from my home email address, and make calls. Have not use it for anything else.
Question, if this is your backup phone.. And you have a main phone.. Maybe its possible we can copy the contacts from your main phone, onto this phone. Because without knowing the name of the google account.. and without having sprint backup set, were running out of options.. There is one other thing, have you ever made a backup of this backup phone, on your computer with the HTC sync program? If not, then we should discuss your other main phone, and transferring contacts from there to here..
I will get another phone in the next week. How can we talk again after I received the Iphone from my new job?? I like to stick with the same person as you know what my situation is.
To get back to me.. Just log back into justanswer.com using the same username / or email address and password XXX created when you signed up. Then click my questions, then click reply to expert. That will put you right back on this page. Just so were clear though, you do understand that the only procedure we have that may help.. Is to do an export of current contacts you have from an accessible phone, into this non accessible phone?
OH, i though the reverse. I thought that you would transfer from the non accessable phone phone to the accessable one.
Unfortunately, we cant do that if we dont have a backup of the contacts and we cant access the phone! One possibility, which isnt an exact fix.. Is you can go online to sprint, and you should be able to look at your call logs.. That may at least help you to find some of the numbers you call, and allow you to add them to the new phone. Butt hat being said.. With the phone locked, and with no previous backups or sprint mobile sync set.. Were at the end of the road.
