Hello my name isXXXXX look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible. If you run out of memory the Camera will delete the oldest picture in order to save the newest one. To fix this using a miniSD memory card should give it more storage space and stop this from happening. If you already have a miniSD card in the phone take a picture and then hold your finger on the picture and choose the save option.

Hi
thank you for your reply, I have tried this but my phone does not come up with a save option, only share, set as or rename. Is there another way to tell the phone where to save photos?

Unfortunately if it is giving you those options it is already saved. On the phone open gallery and look through it are all the photos there?

Customer replied 292 days and 13 hours ago.

At the moment Yes

Ok take a few more and see if any get deleted from the gallery do not check on the computer.

Customer replied 292 days and 13 hours ago.

None deleted - they are all there, just had a thought, earlier today I changed the mini sd card from a 32g one to an 8g one - could this have anything to do with it, is 32g too big?

This phone is able to work with up to 32GB Mini SD cards but the one that you had may have gotten corrupted. Formatting the card itself would fix that if that were the case however anything on it will get erased so back it up first. To format it with the phone put it in the phone then open the menu and go to settings. Go to storage and then choose the SD card. After that tap on format SD card. Once it's formatted with the phone test it again. If the same thing happens the card itself may be failing or damaged since the 8GB one is working correctly.

I have gone to setttings but it doesn't say format, only erase sd card - is that what I should do?

Formatting/Erasing on the phone is the same thing. It erases everything even tiny fragments of left over files.

Customer replied 292 days and 12 hours ago.

Thanks for your help, just backed up the card but it was having problems with some of the files so looks as if it is corrupted, I'll format it anyway and if it doesn't work I'll stick with the 8g. I'll pass on the info to husband and daughter and hopefully they will be sorted too.
Thanks again
