Welcome to JustAnswer!

My nickname is Todd and I will be the expert working with you today to help resolve your problem.

If your friend use the phone with same provider you can insert your SIM card to diver calls. If not, please contact cell phone customer service of your friend.

This is the best way to dry your phone:

1. Remove SIM card (if you have one in your phone) and third-part cases.

2. Dry your phone. Gently wipe off as much water as possible without dropping the phone. Avoid shaking or moving the phone excessively, so as to avoid moving water through it. Wipe down using a towel or paper towel.

3. Leave the phone in a bowl or bag of uncooked rice overnight (minimum 16 hours).

4. After removing the phone from the rice place the phone on absorbent material. Check the absorbent material every hour for 4 to 6 hours. If moisture is evident, repeat the vacuuming step and desiccant steps.

5. Test your phone. After you have waited at least 24 hours, or longer if possible, check to see that everything on and in your cell phone is clean and looks dry. Try turning it on.

5. Do not use a hair dryer (not even on the "cold" mode) to dry out the phone. Using a hair dryer may force moisture further into the small components, deep inside the phone, as the air blows inward.

If you need more information please let me know.

Thanks for the reply.

Please try to reset your phone with this procedure:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 25 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).
