Hi there Daniel and welcome
Can you please do the following
Download and install (if you dont already have it) Blackberry Desktop Manager from here
http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
Then connect the blackberry and synch it to the Blackberry Manager
once done
1- Click intellisync.2- Click Configure PIM.3- Select Address book.4- Click Choose.5- From the available applications select: ASCII Importer / Exporter6- In Operation: select export7- in file name: create a destination fiename with a CSV extention.8- Click Ok.(2)9- on the intellisync window click synchronize now.
It will make a CSV file for you
in outlook, click File, Import/Export
Import the CSV and this will bring the contacts into outlook
if you have any difficulties, please do not hesitate to let me know
Hi,
Where do I find intellisync?
I just can't find any of the sync features that you are describing in your instructions. I have the desktop software version 6.1.0.36
Please let me know where to find all this to try what you are suggesting.
Thanks
ok, for version 6, please do the following
again...
It only chooses one of the address books....the one with the least number of contacts...there are still 2 other address books with the contacts that are not synced with my Outlook.
What do you suggest?
ok, go to the Appworld
get an app called Contacts to Excel and download and install this please
then try with this app
significant progress but we are not there yet.
i got the excel sheet...then, I had to name the range of data in order to import it.
into outlook?
now i am only able to import the name of the contact and the company...although the rest of the info is in the file, I am not been able to import it.
yes
is it an xls or CSV file?
xls
ok, change it to a CSV file
then import please
i also tried by converting the file into csv
same outcome
only name and company
are the other fields in seperate columns?
can I have a look at one of the files?
well the files have absolutely all my contacts so that is king of private...can I send you an edited file showing the structure of the sheet>
?
sorry for the typos
no problem, and yes this is ok
i just want to import here and see the problem
how can i share the file
go to www.wikisend.com
upload it there and give me the download link please
http://wikisend.com/download/933106/Contacts for review.xlsx
ok, looking now
ok, saw the problem
open it in excel, save it as a excel 2003 file (xls)
then import, but on the final stage, you see the button Map Fields
Click this and drag the fields from the left to the correct field on the right
once done, import and it works then
let me know if you have any difficulties please
how is it proceeding?
Hi.I finally got a chance to follow your instructions and fix the initial problem. Now, all my contacts are in my Outlook. But this problem triggered something else as not every time I sync with the BB Desktop I get an Intellisync "Connector Specific Message" associated to syncing my calendar to the BB9900.
What can I do to solve that problem?
I was able to narrow down the issue to the calendar and also I tried to reinstall the Desktop software
This is caused by corrupted organiser data and you need to find it and remove
To do this
If the synchronization process completes, go through steps 3 and 4 and select a different organizer data check box to determine which one is unable to complete.
As mentioned the calendar data casued the issue. I also created the tif.log file associated tot his error but cannot find the corrupted data
ok, you need to go one by one through each calendar item and remove them till you find the corrupted one
Sorry but there is no way around this
but then I will loose all my calendar items...how can I manage that?
you cant
one of them is corrupted
and until you remove it, you cannot synch
where is this calendar
in outlook?
if so, backup the calendar first
then remove the appointments one by one till you find the corrupted one
when you do, restore the backup and you can just delete that one entry
To unlock the device, please follow the instructions on this link
http://www.redmondpie.com/unlock-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-with-sim-unlock-code-finder-app-how-to-tutorial/
If you have any difficulties, please do not hesitate to let me know
and please remember to click Accept and take care
Sorry, please ignore the previous 4 lines
there was an issue with the chat
did you get my last information regarding the calendar?
i will follow your instructions...
i assume i have to delete the calendar activities from outlook...correct?
correct
and then try synching until the error stops
then you found the appointment
it synchs newest to olders
so you ca kind of guess depending on how long it synchs before the error appears
