Hi, can you help with recovering my diary,m which my Samsung Monte 'Smart' phone has just completely erased after once again unlocking in my pocket and pressing random keys !I note that your page takes this question to an Android expert - This is not an android phone, and I am already an expert with Windows / Unix/ linux / Android, but the stupid OS on this phone is a pain in the ...
Already Tried: Switching off and back on again - not much in the way of 'tools' in the phone.
Hi there and welcome
Did you synch the address book with your computer at any time?
Hi,
The Samsung software 'KIES' is next to useless, and doesn't work properly, I deleted it from my computer shortly after it screwed up my diary the first time..
I don't think there is any way to access the phone's internal memory, and no tools that I can find that would recover it.
No there isnt sorry. I was hoping you had made a backup which we could use to restore.
Without this there is not going to be a way to recover this. I am sorry about this result, but these phones dont have any undelete functionality
Feel free to let me know if you require any additional information plese
OK...
Hi
Don't think we can progress further so we should mark this down as a 'no way' problem and accept that I am now going to have to call every bar and restaurant where I am performing and get them to send me that dates I have booked.
now going back to a PAPER diary !!!
or a smartphone eg: Android?
then it synchs to your GMail account
and you will never have this problem (can retrieve from online)
but these phones are very simple and once there deleted they are gone..
I am really sorry about that
but if there is any additional assistance I can provide, please do not hesitate to let me know
So much for the 'Smart' phone Tech from Samsung - maybe go to Android since it's based on good old Linux..
more because it is backed by online service of Gmail
which backs everything up (free)\
Thanks for your input - will accept that you have done your best..Will start updating my diary on Google Calendar and link to my website in future, much more reliable than the phone !
