My mower has been sitting out all winter long and when we try to start it, it will start but then will shut it self off after 2 seconds.
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: Yes there is fuel in the tank, but I don't know what shut off valve is.

Hello, sounds like a carburetor problem. You need to drain the fuel from the gas tank and clean it out. Then clean the carb. What is the make and model so I can provide the correct info?
