My pressure washer builds a lot of pressure and then unloads. It cycles as stated. Replaced the spray wand assembly....still loads and unloads. Any help?
JA: What's the make and model of the pressure washer? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: It is 10 years old. Karcher Mod. # G2600VH, has a Honda engine.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I am capable.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to Just Answer. So does it have pressure when you squeeze the trigger at first ?
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
the pressure builds to much more than normal and then unloads, the cycles again. Takes only 4-5 seconds.

Have you checked the unloader valve?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
What am I to check for? Plugged or broken, or?

Usually the tip should retract in and out . Let me see if I can pull a diagram of the pump

Part 8 in this diagram is the unloader / spill valve

Are you saying that the black plastic cover and the metal tip should move in and out somewhat easily? The tip and plastic cover do not move at all. The internal spring and valve seem ok. Thanks

The end that's in the pump should have something that retracts to make the pump build a loaf or unload
