Ever since i bought troybilt 7550 generator i had to blow

ever since i bought troybilt 7550 generator i had to blow into gas tank to get the fuel to flow, now when i do it it only run for a short time.
JA: What's the make and model of the generator? And can you guesstimate how old it is?

Hi, my name is John I will be assisting you.

Two things that I would look at:

  1. Remove the fuel line from the carburetor inlet and see what kind of fuel flow you have coming through the line from the tank.
  2. Remove the fuel line from the fuel tank fitting and see what kind of fuel flow you have there.

I believe that you will find the issue to be a possible collapsed fuel line, maybe it is kinked or the inside of the line has swollen to a point that it is not allowing fuel to flow freely through it.
