Customer: I have a kohler 5e marine generator and want to know how to remove an air lock in the cooling sustem
JA: What's the make and model of the generator? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Kohler 5e 2000
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: we change the thermostat but know I have to pull out the air but I don't know how

Remove the upper radiator hose, on the thermostat housing, and fill , to see if the coolant is coming through the thermostat . If it is, there is no air, and all you need to do is reinstall the hose. Or loosen the bolts on the thermostat hosing until you have coolant, then retighten the housing.
