I have a deere L130 and the mower deck will not engage. Just

Customer Question

I have a john deere L130 and the mower deck will not engage. Just before it no longer worked I could smell something burning. My belt on the mower deck appears to be fine. Do you know what this could be?
JA: What's the make and model of the mower? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: john deere L130 10 - 12 years old.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I'm having a hard time scheduling so I think so
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: don't think so...just made a burning smell and doesn't engage

If all is fine belts pullies everything is fine I would check your clutch.. Its might have failed..the small burning smell might have been the belt even if it looks good.. But something is bound up to stop the belts from turning..
