Wayne , not enough information ,
How does the wire from the PTO
Clutch get to the PTO switch . I know the PTO switch will
Operate the 12v relay . Does the wire go from the relay to the clutch .

Morning

Just a follow up with you

did my answer help you ??

Let me know,Please

Wayne

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Wayne I observed and studied the wiring diagram . It did not apply to this model . I checked continuity with an ohm meter and between the clutch and the relay there wasn't any and the wire color was different .
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 month ago.

HI

Can you tell me the Make and model number ,Please

what color are your wires at relay ??

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
The model is 53AI85060
Color wires on the relay are :
1-Red on terminal 86
1- yellow & 1- yellow with black tracer on terminal 87a
2- greens on terminal 85
2 - yellows on terminal 30

Sorry Wayne , I left out the CT in the model number and I had the 6050 backwards .
It is 53AI8CT6050

Hi

Did you or any one switch wires around on the relay ??

Reason being is 86 is ground , check that pin for ground

this is a universal Diagram, it works for many styles

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
The relay would not operate if the ground was missing .
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 month ago.

Thank you for that

you are correct, so you here the relay working ??

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Sir , it appears there is another path that is involved . Maybe a safety switch or etc .
I am 78 years old but worked with diagrams and blueprints for 43 years and the diagram you provider
Is clear , however it does not lead to how this machine is wired . I sure don't want to open the harness and trace wires . Chuckle !
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 month ago.

Hi

Lets start over ,now that I know you can check things

is that OK with you

we will check each pin on relay

PS you are a Youngster .......LOL

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Wayne , when I check for the 12 volts that should be available on terminal 30 it is absent . Therefore when the relay operates it cannot pass the voltage onto the make contact 78a .
Without an accurate wiring diagram
It's difficult to verify in a step by step trace of the missing 12 volt supply that should exist in order for the clutch to operate when the relay operates .
If you cannot help with the information required , please advise me so I can seek the information at a local Cub Cadet dealer .
I do appreciate your time and effort and sincerely ***** ***** .

Morning

if you have no 12+ v, at the 30 terminal

you mean 87 a, not 78 a, that gets hot from the ign

if you apply 12 volts to 87a terminal will clutch kick in ??

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Using the universal wiring diagram ,
12 volts would exist on terminal 30 of the relay and a make contact terminal 87 would then energize the clutch . Factory wiring on this machine does not utilize terminal 87 , it is vacant .
The terminal 30 is a break contact with terminal 87a . Both of these terminals have wires . Apparently the clutch obtains its 12 volt supply from some other source .

HI

Sorry for the delay,JA site was down I could not get in

your correct the 87 is blank but 87a is from the Ign

did you put power to 87a

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
the clutch did not engage .
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 month ago.

Thank you for that

That being said the relay is no good, direct power on that 87a

terminal feeds the clutch

Wayne

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Sorry Wayne , you missed something along the way . I had previously applied 12 volts directly to terminal 87 a and the clutch did not operate as I indicated it my previous reply . I have tested the relay and it is good .
I don't think that your service is helping solve my problem
I think we best terminate our communication . Nothing is being accomplished .
Thanks anyway
