when priming to start, purge bulb will not return to full size until several minutes. Can't start the unit. gas blower model model BVM200VS

Hello. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. My name is***** will be happy to assist you.

How long has it been since your blower engine last ran to your satisfaction?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
one week

Thanks for your response. Have you check the fuel filter inside your fuel tank?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
no

There is fuel inlet screen inside your carburetor that is very likely clogged. When this screen clogs, it creates a fuel restriction, and also prevents your purge bulb from releasing after you depress it.

makes sense. clean or replace?

Here is what I would do? I would clean the carburetor and replace the inlet screen. While you are in there, I would put in a new carburetor kit, and replace the fuel filter inside the fuel tank.

difficulty of doing this?

It is not too difficult. If you take your time, and make notes, and take pictures as you go, I feel you can repair your carburetor.

The carburetor in the video is not exactly the same as yours, but the repair procedures are identical for all diaphragm carburetors.

ok. i'll order the parts

Very good!

I do have another suggestion.

You may want to consider a new carburetor. You can get them online at very reasonable prices.
