Customer Question

John Deere store changed belts on a 1 year old 160, 48inch with bagger. Now it cuts grass but won't push the grass to the bagger.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: 1 month ago when they changed the belt...still under warranty. I also had them put new blades and I check to see if they put the wrong blades in but they are fine. can the belt slip and slow down flow?
JA: How long has this been going on? And how severe is the problem?
Customer: Nothing goes into the bagger. 1 month.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: depends on whether it is a minor adjustment or not
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Well, I have an expensive lawn mower that won't bag grass.

Belt can slip with the engine OFF, and the key switch on, and brake locked, pull pto switch on, and see if the belt is tight for the blades and can not be slipped on the pulleys, the belt should be tight with no slippage.
