I have a cub cadet lt1042, 2007, which might have a PTO

Customer Question

I have a cub cadet lt1042, 2007, which might have a PTO issue. It runs ok but if I stop the pto, after being warm, it takes a long time to re-engage. I put a new pto switch in and it seems to be same. Do I need to replace the PTO clutch? if so - do I need to put rope in spark plug cycliner to remove this?

Sounds like the electric PTO is going bad and needs to be replaced. Being as you stated it takes a while to get back to full speed, you can check the belts on deck, but I would say it is the PTO Clutch that is bad
