Every year the torsion spring on my Cub Cadet RTZ 50" breaks. So the last time I used a wire to keep it at the right height. What causes the spring to break?

Spring breaks usually because there is excessive vibration , caused by bad belt or pulley, or bearing out in a spindle, or idler pulley. .

belt is good, no missing areas, all pulleys straight? spindles turn freely? And idlers free to rotate? Pulley alignment is good?
