We have a Briggs and Stratton 16 hp engine, twin cylinder

Customer Question

we have a Briggs and Stratton 16 hp engine, twin cylinder and we are not getting any spark.
There are two wires coming from the stater (charging coil) under the flywheel. One wire has a inline fuse and we are getting power to only one side of the fuse (battery side). We jumper it and it seems to be too much spark.
can you give me some ideas on what could be the problem on why there is no spark?

What method are you using to check your spark?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
We have checked basic spark to the spark plug and found no spark to the spark plugs. Checked spark to the in line fuse. Found spark to one side of the fuse only.

Thanks for your reply. If you are getting voltage on only one side of your inline fuse, then you have either a blown fuse, or your fuse holder is bad.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
ok, we will check the fuse and fuse holder and report back on our findings.
