My tecumseh lawn mower will start when primed but dies after a few seconds of running
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: Yes there is fuel. Im not sure about the shut off valve
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No It ran out of fuel before I filled the tank this morning

Try this, clamp the fuel line and loosen the brass nut holding the carb bowl on to drain the fuel from it. have a rag handy. Once the bowl is drained remove the brass nut-it is the main jet and is probably clogged. Poke a wire (bared bread twister) down the center and though the side holes.
