Are you wanting to remove to install new or remove to install new line?

There is a slot in the housing right above the head. Insert the locking rod that came with the trimmer, or if you don't have one a punch or similar of the correct diameter. As you rotate it, you'll find another slot that will line up to allow you to lock the shaft in place with the rod or punch to remove the old head. Some of them are on pretty tight, so be ready
