Small Engine Troubleshooting Problems? Ask a Mechanic Now.
HI, my name is***** will be assisting you.
Are the levers even when in the neutral position or does one sit more forward than the other?
At the base of the drive control levers there are two bolts, if you will loosen the lower one the control lever is slotted and can be moved to adjust the levers themselves to even them out.
Can you provide the model and serial number from your machine?
If both lever are even when in neutral then it has to be a linkage adjustment between the control lever and the transmission.
If you look at the base of the control lever at the linkage that goes back to the transmission you will find that it is adjustable. It normally has a lock nut in place that once the lock nut has been loosened you can then turn the linkage to make the adjustment for tracking. I would start by making very small adjustments and try the machine until you get it to where it needs to be.
