Customer Question

I have a 1992 gas golf club cart. To get it started I have to pump the excellerator and keep pushing the choke and after five or ten minutes it may or may not start.. Once started, it runs continuous and very smooth but when I stop and take my foot of the excellerator it fails to start again. Hope you can advise what might be the problem. Thank you.

Is the engine turning when you pump the pedal? The foot pedal works a micro switch, which has to close the starter solenid, then the starter turns the engine.
