the F525 quit for my son the other week during mowing with a burned smell of sorts and smoke permeating from the flywheel area
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: that was the first time that that happened
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: as much as possible
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: since then it just doesn't want to start
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: yes that's full and I spent money on a new fuel pump, fuel lines ,inline fuel filter , sparkplug, battery, replaced the starter with a good used one,

Was engine low on oil? Does engine spin ok, just does not start? Do you have spark at the plugs? The Stator/alternator coil is under the flywheel and would affect battery charging and can cause battery to loose voltage when engine is off, by the voltage regulator
