Customer Question

I have a no start condition, fuel line seems to be getting fuel through filter at base of carb but can only get to run if I pour fuel into carb
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: I pulled the fuel line and filter and when I prime it pushes fuel through. not sure about the shut-off valve.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: i think that is it

IF it will start by manually putting fuel into carb and/or cylinder, the carb needs to be cleaned as the main jet is clogged and not allowing carb to pull its own fuel into cylinder.

What engine is this on?

yeah, I asked a dumb question there didn't I. You stated carb.

Pull carb and clean with carb cleaner and use air compressor to blow out jets if possible. If you have a small wire such as a bread tie, use it to run through the jets. re-install and this should fix your issue.

You can try to just remove the bowl and letting the float fall to see if it will drop whatever trash is clogging it out, but it doesn't always work this easily. Good Luck, and Let me know if I can help further
