Small Engine Troubleshooting Problems? Ask a Mechanic Now.
Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.
The first thing that I would do is unplug the ground wire going to the ignition coil(s) then try cranking the engine and checking for spark. Keep in mind that if you start the engine with these unplugged there is no way to shut the engine off immediately, you will have to pull the plug wires from the plug or manually choke it until it dies. If you get spark with the ground wire unplugged then you know your problem is backwards in the wiring or safety switches, if you still have no spark then the problem is your ignition coil(s).
By the way, what engine do you have in this machine?
