My tractor runs fine in park as soon as i take my foot off the brake pedal its dies. If i keep my foot on the pedal and engage the mowing deck it dies. Runs great in park. Is there a safety switch gone bad?
Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 11 months ago.

Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to Just Answer. YeS it sounds like the seat safety switch could be your problem if it's not making contact . First unhook it and make sure it's making good contact when clipped back in

Customer: replied 11 months ago.

Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 11 months ago.
