Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

Will the engine start or at least fire if you remove the air filter and spray carburetor cleaner or a little fuel directly into the intake?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
There is a small amount of fuel in the intake when I remove the air filter. I don't not have any spray carburetor cleaner.
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 11 months ago.

Have you removed the spark plug and checked for actual spark at the plug?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No not yet. Ill go look.
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 11 months ago.

I would check for spark at the plug and then we can continue a diagnosis.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Ok, hang on Ill go look at it.

Spark plug not firing, no spark when turning over engine.
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 11 months ago.

This could be a safety switch issue or and ignition coil issue. The easiest way to determine which it is, is to remove the small wire that plugs onto the ignition coil and then crank the engine. If you are getting spark then, you know that the coil is okay and there is a safety switch that is keeping it from firing. If you are still not getting spark then the ignition coil is bad and will need to be replaced.

You have indicated that this is a new mower. How old is it?

Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 11 months ago.

If less than 2 years old then it should still be covered under the manufactures warranty. In which case, I would not recommend that you attempt to do any repairs on it because you can void any warranty if the service center has reason to believe that you have been trying to repair it yourself. I would recommend getting it back to and authorized Cub Cadet dealer in order to have it repaired if less than 2 years old.

Thank you it has been a pleasure to assist you.
