i have a i1046 cub cadet someone put a screwdriver instead of the key and broke the inside of ignition switch, question is can i cross a couple wires and get the thing running today the parts store wont have another switch in for two days,

No, it takes more than two wires. It has to complete the safety circuit and has to keep the run circuit live or the fuel valve in the carburetor will not let engine run. Sorry, you need the new switch! Any mower shop would have had it!
