I have a Cub Cadet CC 98 m in my shop. The governor linkage

Customer Question

I have a Cub Cadet CC 98 m in my shop. The governor linkage spring is unattached at the carb, and I can't figure out where it hooks
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: Can't find any linkage diagrams online
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: 30 mins....I just literally took it apart and found the linkage spring, the long one, sticking out of the air filter cover. Lol
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Yes...I own a small engine shop
JA: Can you guesstimate how old the engine is? And has it done anything like this in the past?
Customer: This mower came to me yesterday...if I can find out where the spring attached, it would be great
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Small Engine Technician about your situation and then connect you two.
