As similar problems listed on the website, the belt has slipped.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: About two weeks, bought a replacement belt, but not sure it needs it. When I looked underneath the mower I see the pulley wheels, but not sure if a tensioner has to be adjusted or not.
JA: What's the make and model of the mower? And can you guesstimate how old it is?

Model number? Deck belt will have a spring tensioner. It will not be adjustable, the spring should keep the idler pulley tight against the belt.
