Ok do not try to start it .

Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 10 months ago.

The problem is the carburetor is allowing gas to bypass the needle and inlet valve andget down into the crankcase and mix with the oil

Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 10 months ago.

To fix it what needs to happen the carburetor needs to be removed and completely rebuilt meaning replacing the brass inlet valve that's pressed in along with the needle etc . While the carburetor is off you then replace the oil and oil filter etc .

Running it like it is will score the cylinder or lock the motor up

Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 10 months ago.
That could be why the oil didn't look right on the dips tick because it was thinned out with gas
